The last week of our summer has started off great! The kids are about to start a game of Capture the Flag. They have had a day full of fun but their energy doesn't seem to be close to being gone. They are more than pumped to be playing this game tonight.
We had pancakes for breakfast then cleaned cabins for Cabin Inspection. After chapel we took the camp photo then played Capers Baseball and went to teaching. We had Sloppy Joes for lunch then had rest period. This afternoon the camp went to either the river, pool, arts and crafts or the ropes course. Each cabin will be able to go to the ropes course and the river once this week. We had chicken nuggets and broccoli for dinner. Emily lead singing and I showed the slideshow of my photos from the day. Now they're running around.... Trying to capture the flag. After this we will have canteen, night chapel and heading to bed. A full day is planned for us tomorrow!
Yes, it has been pretty hot today but we're all drinking water like it's going out of style. Only water and gatorade have been served to the campers to make sure they're all staying hydrated.
I have posted photos to Ultra Camp now, sorry to those of you who were hoping to see some photos before now. Be assured that they're all having a great time and making friends within their cabins. The smiles and laughter they have are giving the staff so much joy and energy. Thank you for sharing them with us for the week.
Have a great evening! I know we will!
Grace
