Lifeguard Training

Hello!
Staff members have started to move into camp for the summer! Cabins are becoming occupied and Steve's Hall & The Cooks Cabin aren't so empty anymore. It feels like the summer we have been anticipating for months is about to be in full swing. Currently, Lifeguard Training is underway.

Sixteen of the staff members completed the second day of training today. After swimming 500 meters both days, learning techniques and procedures for rescuing swimmers in need of help, and retrieving and swimming with a weight from the bottom of the pool - we are exhausted. Eddie Lary from TMI has been a great instructor and the natatorium at TMI is very nice. Tomorrow is the last day of training and considering we all pass, Camp Capers will have 16 newly certified American Red Cross Lifeguards.

This morning before we left, Chef Justin informed us that we would be having Shrimp Ravioli for dinner tonight. Until then, I believe we'll all be napping.

Until next time!
Grace
